Activate Allflex Integration

NOTE: The current VAS PULSE Platform release only supports the Allflex integration for U.S. customers using Heatime systems. Additionally, users must have Allflex sorting gates in order to use the sorting features and LED activity transponders in order to use the LED sorting features. VAS plans to support additional Allflex products in future releases.
NOTE: Self-service integrations are only available to our DC Unlimited users. DC Pro users must contact VAS Support to connect this integration.

Follow these steps to view your Allflex health and reproduction data and alerts in the VAS PULSE Platform:

Follow these steps to see your registration key in your Allflex Heatime Pro or DataFlow software:

  • Click the Settings button on the right side of the window:

  • Go to Farm > Account to view your registration key in the lower right corner of the display:

  • Write down or copy your registration key:

  1. In PULSE, navigate to Partners > Integrations Gallery > Allflex.
  2. Click See Details or See Requirements on the Allflex integration card.
  3. Follow the Connection Instructions on the right side of the page to establish the connection:
    1. Click Add New Alias, then complete the following fields:
      • Alias: Enter your Dairy Name. If you have multiple dairies, we recommend you use different names for each alias.
      • Registration Key or Producer Code: Copy or enter your software registration key or producer code from your Allflex account. Each device used to access Allflex has a unique registration key.
        • NOTE: If you do not have a registration key or producer code, contact your Allflex representative.
    2. Click Select Pens to choose pens that use Allflex. Enter the pen numbers and select the correct pens from the results list.
    3. Click the Connection Status toggle and verify the status switches to Active: 

      Connection Status: Active

    4. Click Save.
    5. If necessary, click Edit Integration to make any adjustments or edits and save your changes.
IMPORTANT: If your integration does not automatically connect, contact your Allflex representative to connect the integration from their system. If requested, provide your Dairy Id and Herdcode listed on the Allflex Integration Gallery details page.
  1. In DairyComp 305, enter SETMILK\MI6 on the command line, which lets DairyComp know that you want to integrate with Allflex. Press Enter.
  2. In the command line, enter SETMILK\INSTALL to view the Allflex Configuration window. Expand Allflex Items to learn more about each unassigned item:

    Allflex Transponder

    		Number assigned to each animal's Allflex transponder, which collects the animal's activity data. Each animal must have a unique transponder value.
    IMPORTANT: This field is required.

    LED Sort Date

    Date that the animal's tag lights up to indicate that the animal should be sorted. It will be entered in MMDDYY format.

    We recommend that you set this as a scheduled task. Learn how to schedule tasks in Schedule Automatic Sorting in DC305.

    LED Sort Code

    SORT

    Number between 0–255 that indicates whether an animal should be sorted.

    If the value exceeds 0, the animal will be sorted. Its Allflex tag will flash at a speed determined by its LED Sort Code assignment.

    If the value is 0, the animal will not be sorted.

    Sort Gate Code

    CUT

    1

    Number between 0–255 that indicates whether an animal should be sorted into a separate pen when the animal leaves the milking parlor.

    If the value exceeds 0, a separate gate will open for the animal and the animal will be sorted into a separate pen. If the value is 0, the animal will not be sorted.

    		Allflex's measurement of an animal's health, between 1-100 with 100 being the highest. Allflex calculates health by comparing an animal's health history with its health history in the past 24 hours.
  3. Map the items automatically or manually:
    • Automatic: Click Select and Auto-Create Items to prompt DC305 to automatically create and assign all your items:

    • Manual: If you have already created your own customized items, assign each customized item to the unassigned fields:

  1. Click OK to save your changes.
NOTE: After completing these steps, the widgets will populate automatically on your Dairy Dashboard within a few hours.
