Add a New Pen

Herd Write permission is required to use this feature. See Edit User Permissions if you need help updating user permissions.

You can easily add a new pen to your dairy by clicking the Add New Pen button on the Pens list:

Clicking the Add New Pen button opens a side panel for you to enter the information for the pen:

The fields in this side panel are the same as those shown in the Pens list. Refer to the table here for a description for each of these fields.

NOTE: For the Pen # field, you can enter a number up to 999, as long as the number hasn't already been assigned to a pen. If you attempt to enter an existing pen number, the system will display an error message.

Once you've entered the information for the pen, click Save. The system will then display a message at the bottom of the page stating that your new pen has been added. Now you can view the pen in the Pens list.
