Health and Management CowCard Widget Details

NOTE: For the Partners tab to display heat and health data, your dairy must first activate the integration. See Activate Integration to learn more.

The PULSE Platform displays live sensor data in individual animal CowCards on the Partners tab, providing an up-to-date view of health-related details, including eating time, rumination percentage, and total inactive time by date. If the animal is outfitted with a leg band, the PULSE Platform also provides lying time and standing and step counts.

View the examples below for more information on the data shown in the Health and Management widget:

Partners tab: To view the widget, select the Partner Name from the Partners tab on the animal's CowCard.

Eating, Rumination and Inactive: The data shown in this drop-down is recorded by the neck sensor and sent to the PULSE Platform every hour.

References: The Eating, Rumination, and Inactive graphs include the following: 

  • Avg in Pen: Average value for the animal's pen is shown as a line for quick comparison to the animal's eating time, rumination percentage, and inactive time.
  • Attention: A significant drop or increase in eating time, rumination percentage, and inactive time is shown in red.
  • Optimal: The ideal range for eating time, rumination percentage, and inactive time is shown in light green.

Eating: The Eating graph shows total amount of time spent eating per day (in hours).

Detail: Hover over the graph data to view eating details, including total time eating and the pen average value. If an attention exists for that day, the bar displays in red. See Alerts to learn more.

Rumination: The Rumination graph shows rumination time values as a percentage of the day.

Detail: Hover over the graph data to view rumination details, including the rumination percentage and pen average for that particular day. If an attention exists for that day, the bar displays in red. See Alerts to learn more.

Inactive: The Inactive graph shows total amount of inactive time (standing or laying down) per day (in hours).

Lying, Standing and Walking: The data shown in this drop-down is recorded by the leg sensor and sent to the PULSE Platform every hour.

Lying: Total number of hours the animal spent in a lying position per day.

Standup Count: Total number of times the animal stood up from a lying position per day.
